as you might know last weekend i purchased a 85 sunbird. well i took it to my school for a safety and that thing failed miserably. it needs a list (and i mean list) or repairs before it can pass safety, not to mention a leaky gas tank, rotted rocker panels on a unibody design.
so saturday i am returning the car to the previous owner. me and her have talked and agreed to return the car for my money. now im gonna go and buy a ford, might not be a truck but a ford!
well srry to hear that the bird turned out to be a dead 1 but im glad that you want to go with a ford although every company has its problems so dont expect to find anything perfect.
Sorry to hear about your car. If you go with a Ford, get a Tempo or if you get a Taurus, get one '93 or newer. Stay AWAY from the '86-92 Taurus and Sable, the tranny is infamous for going out due to a bad design from Ford. (It's the AXOD.)
I probably won't have the money to get mine fixed until late January.
Don't know how much cash you have to throw around, but I had a 94 Tempo 2dr while going to college. Price was good came with a sun roof and a factory spoiler it looked sorta sporty. Great on gas too! Miss the ole girl... Anyhow I've seen lots of them advertised for under $3000 with less than 100k on them. Just a thought
