problems with bully dog chip
i bought a bully dog 4 bank 6 pos. chip for my 97 7.3l and sometimes it wont work, have to chut the truck off sometimes several times and restart to get it to function. i tell if it is working by setting it to high idle after start up. if it idles high it working if not, its not working. the owner of the 4x4 shop hays the same chip in the same truck and says its normal. well i dont think it is and was wondering if anyone else has been having similar problems. im considering switching to a dp tuner, but then i wasted $500 on a peice of ***** chip. what can i do about this? thanks. ps. worked my way out of a "getting wheel" ticket tonight cuase i claimed the chip was new. i think the cop knew but he was cool about it.

I've heard others with similar problems with Bullydog chips. If ya can return it and get your money back, I'd call Tony Wildman (or Jody(DP Tuner))up and have him send ya one of his chips. Ya wont regret it! And stay far from that shop ya bought it from!

I had the same problem (and still do sometimes) with mt ts performance 4bank 6pos chip. Ts says that the problem is occurring when there is a powersurge of somekind...he told me to check my batts and my alt. so I did and everything is ok so far..............................
