We just bought my wife a '96 Broncho Eddie Bauer.
I want to put manual hubs on it as I did with my '93 F150. The Broncho has a three screw cap where mine had five.
Any forseeable additional installation problems?
Any suggestion on recomened brand(s)?
Thanking you ...
yo hunter!

Key words here "3 screw cap". AIM touched on the fact that you will need a conversion kit in order to put the manual hubs in. You definately will. If you don't use the conversion kit, you will not have any locking mechanism to prevent the spindle hub nut from loosening over time. The only problem here is that you will need one hub tool to get the original nut out, and another to put the new ones from the conversion kit in. The one to put the new ones from the conversion kit in is a pretty standard one that you can get almost anywhere. For the other one, I tried a couple of different places to see if I could rent it, but they only had the standard one, which I already had from my '88. Finally found the other one for sale at Autozone for only $11. Only used it once, but the $11 was not worth the aggravation of trying to get the stock nut out without it.
