Any advise?

I have an 84 f150 4x4 with a 302 & 4 speed. It jumps out of 3rd all the time & occasionally 4th. I know its the sycronizers but dont know how much it will cost to fix it. does anyone know how hard it is to do, or how much it will cost apprx? Any ideas? I'll take any info at all. Also if there is someone near me that wants to do it, or help I'd love to do that. I live in southern Illinois & I like beer

I forgot to mention that I searched, but all I can find are swap posts. That would be nice to do, but I don't think the little gas savings is worth the hassle.

I am scared of the small parts in a transmission, but perhaps you can find a junk yard donar to rebuild.
