New Screw

I traded my '04 FX4 Supercab for an '07 Screw and it seems to have more wind noise then the '04. Has this been anyone else's experience? I plan on having it checked out by dealer but haven't had time yet.

05 here, but other than the tire noise at about 80 kmh it's very quiet inside the cabin. Even on windy days it stays quiet.

Maybe one of your doors is off? Can you narrow down on where it's coming from?

Have a 2006 F150 Screw and it also seems to have a ton of wind noise, this is in comparison to my old 2002 F150 SuperCab.

I too wonder if this is right or not, just haven't had it checked out by the dealer yet.

So you are saying you hear no wind noise? I hear it but it is not obnoxious or anything, but you know it is there... You hear no wind noise at all... Mine sounds like wind coming thru the windshield or doors, as if a window is cracked open. I do have a bug deflector on along with the vent visors. Is this creating some additional wind noise? I know my 99 Ram with a bug deflector caused the mirrors to shake all over the place!

Sammer, it's super quiet. Obviously not like sitting at idle but it's the quietest cab I've ever known. Of course, it may be colored a bit by the fact that the daily driver prior to this gem was an old conversion van, shoebox on wheels. That was a wind-noisy little bugger.

Well maybe I will have to have the dealer check this out on the second oil change. Have them check that out along with tire rotation...

Sounds like I'll have this checked out as well during my 1st oil change, when I have the blown front passenger speaker replaced and the weather stripping along the top of the drivers side doors checked. This weather stripping at the back of the cab seems to be peeling off slightly, not really noticable unless you compare it to the passenger side.

Does anyone know what this weather stripping piece is called? It's in the water run off channel on the top of the cab and there is one on both the drivers and passengers side. It runs from the front of the cab to the back of the cab.

Thanks for the help guys, I've been wondering about the wind noise, as it's more pronounced than my '02 was.

my 06 @ 75 mph is extremely quiet. I can barely hear anything unless I'm in a good crosswind (20+ mph winds)

I'd check your door seals and make sure the fit of your doors is right. something seems out of whack.

I got a 2006 F-150 supercab Xlt and it is very quite, alittle to quite. I would take a look down the sides of your truck and make sure everything is lined up and flush together. You cant really tell though without riding in another truck the same as yours back to back. My truck might be loud in your opinion.

06 SCrew here and it is quiet as well. I can feel a cross wind more than I can hear it. Quietest truck I've ever owned.
