I have a 95 F250 SC longbox PSD. I was recently told that the reason my frt. end made noise with the hubs locked in and the transfer not was because I have a limited slip frt diff. Is this possible? It's only loud over 50MPH on dry pavement. I never had this noise in my 91 f150 sc gas job.
Here at work I do have a pic that shows a break down of a front diff with clutch packs but I have not seen one first hand
yes, apparently it is possible as a special order or so I've since been told I just wasn't sure if this mechanic was giving me the gears to explain a problem.I've also been told that it may pull to 1 side or the other if the hubs are locked on dry pavement but I haven't found that to be a problem.
Thanks, it's good to have the right info.!!
I have the same thing happen when I leave my hubs locked. My truck is also a 95 with a Limited-Slip rear. Not sure on the front though. Any know how to tell if the front is Limited-Slip or not? Was it even an option?
