1986 Bronco specs
I should be getting an 86 Bronco pretty soon and I am wondering about some of the specs. I know it is totally stock with a 351 and a manual tranny. Can anybody tell me a little about this vehicle. HP torque etc... Thanks Alot...

1986 Bronco specs
The '86 351-4V H.O. engine was rated at 210(net) horsepower@3,800rpm& 315 lb.-ft. of torque@2,800rpm.You asked how a set of Flowmasters would sound with a 5.0L(302) engine.....I have a '90 with the EFI302,and it has duals with Flowmaster 50-Series mufflers.It sounds great!

The Bronco comes standard with a HO 351? Nice... I assume that there is many ways to mod this motor also. I can't wait to start. Thanks

1986 Bronco specs
A 4-Wheel&Off-Road comparision test in their September 1982 issue included a Bronco fitted with a 351-2V backed by a wide-ratio 4-speed manual overdrive tranny.It's ratios were-3.01 first,1.78 second, 1.00 third,and 0.72 fourth.

That article was a reprint that is included in Brooklands Books "Ford Bronco 1978-1988".If you'd like a copy email me with your mailing address,and I'll mail you a copy.If you don't want to do that,I've seen a few copies of this book on ebay.I don't know if it is still in print,or not.
