Question OBDII continuous scanning software?

Hey all.

Recently converted 'burban owner - had a 95 6.5 diesel. Great ’burban - bad engine - burned it up towing across South Dakota in 114 degree temps.

Any how - I'm a software guy and a tight wad at that. When I learned that the tranny in my 'burban had a tranny oil temp sensor and that installing a gauge would cost more than $5.00 , I spent 500+ hours writing my own ODB I monitoring software. I used it all the time when towing. Showed engine temp, tranny temp, fuel pump temp, boost, econ info, all harvested from the PCM. Could record all of the data points (over 200) for days long run sessions. Even added voice warning for under/over temp conditions, DTC, etc. Called her (female voice) 'Bitch'n Betty' like the fighter pilots call there' voice warnings.

Now I'm not sure about writing another one for the X, OBD II is a bit more complex, and the documentation I had for the GM project was limited to OBD I. Manufacturers seem to be so tight fisted with the proprietary data stream info!

Any how, I'm hoping to find a software package in the aftermarket for my X. Something that allows me to select a bunch of data points for continuous display like I mentioned above. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance. You all have been so helpful already. Made it well worth the cost of joining the forum!
