When I turn on the ignition on my 1993 f-250 w/ the 7.3 turbo diesel engine
my taillights come on very dim and I don't even have the light switch on.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to begin looking for the problem?
I know that my wiper/dimmer/ 4-ways/ turn signal combo switch is bad.
I was wondering if any of you might be thinking along the same lines as me
as I am thinking that maybe this bad switch is shorting out and causing the problem?
I would say the turn signals/brake lights are where the current is coming from in the switch.
Does it by any chance have a trailer connector on it with 7 wires?
There is a battery feed through a relay that could also be causing that problem in the 7 wire trailer plug wiring.
