K&N

Just installed new K&N air intake on my 04 F150 4x.

Seems that now I can not get any RPM over idle.
Have ck'd and reck'd the install papers and don't think I missed anything.

Any ideas?

make sure you have the mass air flow sensor installled the right way and tightly. This islocated in the back of the tube.

Is the Check Engine light coming on?
Did you disconnect the battery to reset the computer?
Be careful with it,some 04s run lean with aftermarket CAIs.

Where did you get the intake? How much & what engine? I'm thinking about one myself... how long did it take to install. thanks

I live in Southern OR. and got it on sale at a local parts store for about $270.
Following the step by step instructions it took about 90 minutes to install.
I made one mistake and put the mass airflow sensor in upside down. after that quick
fix it runs great. Its in a 04 F150 4X4 5.4L Tritron with about 38,000 miles. First time I drove it I could tell that it is quicker and I now need less throttle for same speed.
