Question draining fuel tank

Whats the best way to drain the fuel tank on my 87F-150 4x4???

I use a long tube 3/8 or 1/2 and a hand pump (kerosene pump Just used tape to make fit ) . once it starts it will siphon out . The kids steal mine all time. Good luck

I guess you cant pump it out some how with the fuel pump??

If your fuel pump is working well enough to pump it out, I'd have to question why you want to drain the tank. But, yes, you can use the fuel pump test connection on the DCL to drain the thank. Disconnect the line between the filter and the tank, and catch the fuel in a container. If you're draining because of rust problems, then yeah, the pump would drain it, and do so rather quickly. Just make sure to turn the pump off IMMEDIATELY after fuel flow stops. The pump won't last long running dry.

Yes you can remove line by engine or make line for the tire valve conector on fuel rail . And use pump . good luck

Im thinking the leak might be a return line because it starts to leak after its run for about 2 minutes
