I always used to run a Motorcraft OEM filter, FL-1995 at Walmart, has the Powerstroke logo right on the box. Then this last change i added a OilGuard bypass filter, and i switched over to OilGuards High-Efficiency full-flow filter.

Napa Gold 1734 or Motocraft FL-1995. I usually stock-up on all my NAPA filters at www.fleetfilter.com.

Thanks guys. I just picked up the motorcraft filter and Rotella 5W40 synthetic from wal-mart. I will be sending in an oil sample to blackstone labs as soon as I get a chance to change the oil. Thanks again.

I use the Fleetguard Stratopore LF3974. It costs about twice what the Motorcraft 1995 does at Wal Mart, but it filters so much better that it's worth it!

Motorcraft FL-1995 on mine.
Blackstone labs says they are doing a great job for me at 10,000 mile oil/filter change interval.
