1955/56 Intake manifolds won't work...they take the "toilet bowl" carbs and the later 1957 4V carbs won't fit. No car books, so can't help with a manifold number. (Richard~I was on the phone talking "irons" with a pal in North Pole, otherwise I wooda been here sooner).
How about ECZ-9425-B . I have one laying in the garage that I could look at. Dennis in PA
Thanks guys. Little brother is putting a Hi-Pro 292 that he built together and this is all he has left to get. Long block is together and ready to go in. If he can't find a used one locally in Western Colorado, do you have a spare. He has a 272 teapot 4v and manifold if anybody is interested. 1955 model

The geezer mechanics of old called them toilet bowls for several good reasons. The only 4V carbs from 1954/56 were this type. The 1956's (B6Q) are very hard to find. One of the years, forget which, has the choke mounted on the manifold.
Never drive without an aircleaner...these carbs don't like it, and will catch fire. No aircleaner = fried hood paint, a common occurence.
Ya been there done that. This setup was on my 55 when I put the last 272 engine in. I knew it was probally shot but tried to run it anyway. What a flame show. So I installed the 2V and sent the Teapot to my little brother. The holes where the throttle shaft are worn bad and would take a machine shop to rebush, than need rebuilt. And still have a flame thrower. Will just hang it in the shop for a conversation peice if nobody wants it.
