Ok i just bought a 93 Shortbox Flareside 4X4 with a 5.0LTR and this is what it looks like. I have a good deal of money to attack this project any suggestions. I want to drive it at least a couple times a week and i need it to tow my boat and my skidoo. I want to win some competiotions. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and yes i am also single with no kids so nothing to hold me back.....I am going to start off with a rebuilt 5.0LTR and a rebuilt E40d tranny. I want to lift it a little and i want to put a remote starter on it and a dump for the box and a dvd player for my nephew when he is with me and and a retractable tonneau cover and complete body and paint and new big tires and rims and custom interior. Serious Sattalite radio and a CB radio. Good sound system and a spray in coloured box linner with a cool design on it. Probably wont haul anything heavy in the box. I may do a little to help the performance but not too much i dont like messing around with a hundred years of engineering. Maybe a air intake system and some kind of powerchip. Let me have it guys what would u do if u had time and money to this truck........Thanks.....Neil
Whoops just read i cant post attacments so if u want to see before and after i will definetley add them to my profile when i am allowed.
I know you said you want a retractable cover, but you might want to consider a soft rollup cover. Here at Shur-Co we manufacture the Truxedo Lo Profile cover, which is our most popular cover. It has a lifetime warranty and is very durable. It just takes a few seconds to roll it up and unroll it. Take a look at the sales videos for the different covers. http://www.truxedo.com/maingallery/sales-video.html We also have a new cover called the Truxedo Deuce. We are giving one of them away to a FTE member that replies to the thread below. We will be picking the winner on April 2nd.
Very interesting what is the price for the two Deuce and Lo Profile for my truck 1993 F150 Shortbox 4X4, 81 inch box. And do u ship to Canada......Neil
