Shocks

I have a 92 xlt that I use primarily for hunting and fishing - do a little towing but not much and am looking for good not extremely expensive shocks - truck has 198,000 miles and runs very strong - any thoughts. Thanks
Ron

I've been buying mine at Sears (Roadhandler LT I think ) They treat me well if have a problem (never had any with shocks)I buy and put on myself. Also NAPA had decent light truck shocks . Both these shocks are not the mega off road shock . But offer decent proformace for the normal driver.

Shocks were discussed very extensively a year or so ago. Have you tried the search? Look above for Forums then select Search. I also use mine mainly for hunting and fishing but usually pull a 4-wheeler or two. Have towing pkg w/ rear sway bar, four shocks total. Went to South Texas deer hunting and returned during the ice storm w/trailer, 4-wheelers, fully loaded coolers, ammo, guns, etc. and made it fine. I can't remember the shock brand, three letters, and adjust a gas or something like that. Everything is totally stock.
