I just read the article by Dan Cabral in the tech section. Gave me almost all I need to do the swap. One part though, he used a SVO kit for the rears. Does anyone know how he addressed the differant bolt patterns? SVO has the car 5 on 4.5 my Bronco has the truck 5 on 5.5 wheel bolt patterns.
I am trying to put discs on the back of my Bronco as well. I've already bought the rear brackets, rotors and calipers from a Lincoln Mark V. The Lincoln gives me a 5 on 5" bolt circle and right now I'm trying to decide how to best make the rotors fit the truck pattern.
Drilling the 5 on 5.5" bolt circle on the rotors should be pretty easy but there is a problem with the larger truck sized axle flange. The inside diameter of the rotors are a little smaller than the outside diameter of this axle flange. I'm may end up machining some off the i.d. of the rotor and a little off the o.d. of the axle flange to make it work.
Hopefully I'll get this all figured out and take some photos to show how it all worked out.
Give me some time and I'll let you know how it works out.
