Problem !!! - (for FordMasterTech?)
'96 Eddie Bauer, 5.8L, Automatic transmission, Shift-on-the-Fly with automatic hubs. 98,900 miles. Recently (within the last two weeks) have had the fluids changed in both differential and replaced with synthetic fluid, changed automatic transmission fluid - included the torque converter - and transfer case. Used synthetic fluids in transmission and transfer case also.
I am now noticing a "shudder" while accelerating... very noticable if I start from a dead stop and "floor" it. If I drive along like a normal person I have the shudder starting about 35 mph and lasting - but it seems to diminish as I approach 60-65 mph. Under hard throttle the shudder only seems to last thru first gear (or about 40 - 45 mph/2500 rpm). I had the front end checked and all four wheels balanced six to eight months ago.
Any ideas or suggestions gentlemen??
Thanks from "hot" Florida (95-105)
Richard
Thanks for the quick reply Bob... the only problem is that I forgot to say that I had the OEM U-joints changed out to new with grease fittings. Also, I did not mention that the Bronco has a limited-slip rear differential. Using the synthetic lube would the additive be needed?
