i love my new truck just frustrated that i spent 65000 on a new truck that the dealership doesnt know how to fix.iam sure most new trucks have no problems,i have owned 5 new fords in last 4years this is only one that has had any grief.
Why did you pay $65,000 for a truck that at most can MSRP for about $61,000 (every option according to Ford)?
That is not quite true, the MSRP on mine was over $61,000 and I do not have the rear entertainment or a sunroof, those would have added a couple G. Then you got delivery and tax. I can see how it COULD be that high.

Wow- what a surprise! A new product and it has problems!?!?! Who would have guessed? And the rollout of the 2003 6.0 was such a success I can see why you guys would be in a BIG hurry to buy the next big thing from Ford motor company. What did you expect?
Man I wish they would make that F-250 & 350 series with a Cat or Cummins. That's the 1st thing that always comes to my mind when I hear about these Navistar engine issues??

The 6.4 is an engineering marvel. Just looking at the engine compartment is very impressive. But... it just seems so damn complicated compared to the current Cummins.
Hey don't get me wrong the 6.4 is an awesome engineered motor. Twin turbo's and the new injection system. Just seems like the power strokes are engineered with more moving parts twin turbos, just the V-8 configuration makes for more possibilities of thing breaking just because there are more moving parts in a V-8 motor. I have often wondered why Navistar doesn't go simple and basic like a straight 6 or 8 for the Ford Super Duty?? Make it simple one turbo, inline lower revs and no qeustion it will last longer with less repairs.
Mercedes vehicles are engineered to the extreme but my family has owned 2 and they go to the shop quite a bit for repairs and you better have an extended warranty when they do!!
They need to simplify these power strokes and build in some very very high mile rebuild numbers into there engineering process!
