Never noticed, but I have a diesel, so I doubt I would hear any change over the motor.

i just bought my 250 KR and they were installed by the previous owner....I really dislike them. 1) I DO think they are noiser. My 150 doesn't have them and I believe I'm getting more wind noise on my 250 KR. 2) My wife has complained that they reduce vision because they are so dark...you can not see through them like I thought you'd be able to. We are not smokers and guessed that the previous owner was and that's why they are installed.

I plan on talking to a body shop about removing them in the future.

SME: I installed them on my 01 when I had it and they do make more noise. But if you do want to have the window slightly rolled down in rain or snow they stop water from dripping on power window and door lock controls.I also didn't have to swivel the visor to block sun from driver's window nearly as much. msgtg:mine were installed with 3m 2 sided tape,I'm sure a body shop could take em right off if ya wanted.

I've never heard my truck without them, but I like having them. You can crack your window and not have that whistling sound that you normally would. Plus mine is a muffer-less diesel, so noise isn't a primary concern of mine. Would have drove me crazy in a Towncar, though.

I've never noticed more noise coming from mine, but wind noise doesn't bother me that much anyway. I will agree that they make seeing past the drivers A pillar a little more difficult. I always try to lean forward to check that blind spot when making a left turn, because you can lose a car there. Especially in the winter when the wipers leave a bunch of snow there too.

I had them installed on my '99 Ranger and my wife's '02 Escape. I remember the Escape seemed really noisy so when I installed these it finally clicked. I do like keeping the rain off the doors but just wondered if anyone else noticed the increased noise.

They do make a little of wind noise at certain speeds, but I never really notice it. When I get my exhaust done, I won't be able to hear the wind noise!

Good point, guess I'll have to install the Gibson sooner rather than later!
