There's a thread that has the "decoder" in it somewhere. It's on at least the first 3 pages. I do know the 73 = 3.73. If you had an "L" before it it'd be a limited slip diff.

10 & 5 denote the ring gear diameter. 10.5"

9G20 is the date of manufacturer, if I recall correctly. I cannot remember how Sterling comes up with the date from it.

The other stuff is plant info...like where it was made and stuff.

Thanks alot for sharing your knowledge. Are these good specs or are they average, nothing special. the built date is '99 so it was probably one of the first EXs built, so maybe it was b4 all the good stuff was added. I don't have any probs with it but I would love a newer EX. Hate making payments though.

Average specs. 3.73 open is probably the most common rear end ratio.

Early build vehicles are know for all the EXTRA content. It is subsequent years in which Ford slowly removes the little things like hood blankets, engine compartment lights, door lights etc. etc.
