I was driving down the road yesterday and all i heard was a grinding noise from underneath, it stopped long enough and i was able to drive it home. After i parked it i figured out that when ever i put it in gear it grinds and doesnt go anywhere and also the samething in 4wh, but it drives in 4wlow.
Someone told me that it could be the transfer case but when i bought it i was told it was fairly new, then i heard check the linkage. I figured id ask the pro's. Any info would help. Thanks
Make sure your hubs aren't locked in. Just yesterday I was hearing a grinding noise and noticed I had forgot to unlock my hubs from the last snow about a month ago. The noise was my front DS spinning. No noise today though.
Ill definetly try out what you suggested when i get home, I left for vaca. But its definetly not the hubs, they were unlocked when it started. I had to lock them to reverse cuz of the snow when i was in 4wl. Ill check the gear oil when i get home. Thanks for the help. Ill let you know what happend.
