E4OD Trans swap
I have an 83 Bronco that I built a 351W for (from a 69 Mach 1) and it runs real well. the problem is, in Montana, we like to drive a little faster than most other places and this this will turn more than 4 grand while going down the interstate. I have ask a few other people about going with an overdrive. Some say the AOD, others say the E4OD. After a trip to California in a 2001 Ford F150, I am leaning to the E4OD, mainly because I can lock out the overdrive in town. Has any one ever done this conversion? Don't get me wrong, the C6 is an excellent transmission, but with 3:55 grears front and rear, I need another gear.
