I have been noticing some very pesky annoying things coming from the rear differencial area. Heres a list of things that the truck does, and I think its all coming from a ubolt or yoke type deal.
1. As I leave a stop light, theres this annoying light clunk that makes the suspension lift up before it drives, and makes the dash make a noise because theres an awkard strain on the truck.
2. At high way speeds, or even 40-50 range, theres a humming noise coming up through the floor boards and when I let go of the gas, it stops, for the most part.
3. When I take turns when its wet outside, or even when its dry. theres a popping noise, which sounds like a loose ubolt.
4. When I reverse, and then slowly come to a stop, I hear a clank.
5. And for the last and most signifying point is for today for isntance, our area just got a foot of snow. I was forced to turn around in a very snowy driveway, but I needed to really punch while in 4 wheel drive. The whole time I had to keep letting of the gas because the truck kept shaking all over the place and vibrating and skipping. It sounded much like a u bolt and not allowing the vehcile to take any kind of hard spinning of the wheels.
Would all these things to you guys sound like a something loose somewheres along the line in the drivetrain? Both the yoke and ubolts are brand new on the truck. The yoke was put it less than 3 months ago, and the new ubolts were put it at the end of last summer. The pinion also had just been replaced. Any input would be very appreciated.
Part of the problem = driveshaft center support is prolly bad. This is a U shaped metal frame with a large rubber support that has a bearing inside. It mounts where the two driveshafts come together. When this goes bad it allows the two driveshafts to move up/down, and side to side.
Hum when you let off on the gas = rear axle possibly the ring and pinion. You say you replaced the pinion. Pinion what? Seal? Ring and pinion?
Clunking noise = bad U-joints.

If you replaced the u-bolts a few months ago, have you tried to re-torque them again?
The center support brng. was already mentioned, but have you inspected the splines at the slip joint? A worn one, or a dry one could bind, and cause some trouble.
The trucks a 1995 F350 with E40D automatic transmission. I am not sure what exactly the dealer replaced, they did the ubolts, yoke, and pinion. I am just annoyed after dumping all that money into all that, that is still not perfect. The shocks are brand new, couldnt imagine that be the problem, theres a possibility a leaf spring is a problem, there is a slight sag in the rear left spring
