I have a 2005 6.0 with 11,000 miles. It had the normal exhaust drone when new. I put on an MBRP cat back and cat delete and it eliminated the drone. Just recently I,m starting to get another engine or exhaust drone/vibration that is getting progessively worse. It happnens at aprox 1,600 rpm under light or medium load. More noticeable in top gear. I checked the exhaust and cat delete I put on for looseness or interference and didn't find anything. Any suggestions on what to check next?
Do the 06's have that turbo resonance vibration thing that required an additional bracket? Maybe one of the techs will chime in. They know this stuff like I know computers!
My MBRP exhaust had the drone too; starting around 1800 rpm. You have to be really careful about a bound exhaust. It takes a bit of work to get things aligned just right. The pipes need to be aligned such that the bolt holes match up and the separation is 1/16" or less (near floating). New exhaust hangers might help too. Anyway, once everthing is properly aligned, torque the turbo clamp first, then work back.
I know it's a pain, but that worked for me eventually.

I just had this fixed on my truck. Its an 05 and they added the brace for the turbo. The truck has 28k miles on it, and I was getting the same thing at about 1800 RPM's.
I took my 06 in for the same thing. They showed me where the TSB states the 06 has the additional brace. The only thing they can do on the 06 or later is loosen all of the exhaust components from the turbo back, rotate them a little, then tighten down again. I told them not to fool with it for now. I believe as I have put some miles on it, the drone is lessening.
