I just put in a new 351W and when it was rebuilt they installed a true roller timing chain. After it has all been put together and I bolt on the fuel pump, it does not work. If I crank real hard on the fuel pump it shoots out fuel just fine.
Is there a possibilty the rocker arm is not making contact with the crank shaft because they installed the wrong kind? I read my book and it says you have to possibly crank the engine to line up the rocker arm with the eccentric at its lowest. Is this a must? If so how do I do this? Is it related to TDC?
When I put on the fuel pump it goes in without any problem and it does not seem to hit up against anything. I can move it up and down freely so I hope this doesn't mean something wasn't installed in the engine right. Please help! Thanks!
