Squatting wreckers
I've driven a couple different kinds of light duty wreckers on Ford F450 chassis (Powerstroke) in the past few days, and I think the thing that surprised me is how much the Ford chassis squats when towing, and consequently lifts the nose up. Much more so than our GMs.
We look at it as a safety issue - a potential for lockup in the front under braking.
Anyway, what are some recommendations for leveling out the truck? Timbrens? Air bags? Extra leaf springs?
