oil filter adaptor
which way is the oil filter adaptor supost to be on a 66 with a 352? mine sets so that the filter is screws on to the side not up and down. there should be a picture in the gallery with the motor shot. thanks

The adapters allow you to mount the oil filter in any direction you want it too. Once you take off the oil filter the center threaded portion loosens so you can rotate it. I believe it is a allen head wrench that will allow you to loosen it. Just be sure to have another gasket for the adapter. Personally I think the choice is up to you. I would like to have my filter mounted with the threads up so junk can settle at the bottom while the engine is off when I buy a oil cooler kit.
