found some scary stuff!!!

i am kinda mind boggled by the things i have found recently. i don't even want to drive my truck. i have an 88 f350 with a good amount of lift. the front is what scares me the most. there are 2" blocks under the front leaf springs!!!!! and in the rear there is the original block stacked on top of another block the same height. what should i do? i need the truck for work every day. but i also want to fix this stuff ASAP. i am looking for leaf springs for the back that will make up the difference when i take out the extra block. but that also means my air bags get scrapped. this is bad but not as bad as a blown head gasket.(looking at the bright side)

when you say you have 2 blocks in the rear, is there 2 blocks + the snubber, or a block and the snubber?
1 taper block at the spring and the snubber on top is ok.
2 blocks and the snubber is not.

the snubber is the little 1 inch thick block with the arm sticking out that hits the rubber block on the frame, to limit the upward travel

Just a thought, but do you need all that lift? Might be simple to lower the truck by taking out the blocks.

i used to run 40 inch tires on my 88 with only 4 inches of lift, and had no problems
