carpet material selection
I've decided to go with something from ACC, probably in a dark tan/light brown shade.
I think the original carpet is cut pile, but would it be better, since i'm going to order a custom color anyway, to go with 80/20, cut pile, nylon, or skip carpet and get vinyl (i saw they have vinyl in beige)?
It is a daily driver/trail truck. nothing too serious, but I want the best mix of durability, cleanability, and comfort. Durability....don't want it to wear out or tear easily. Cleanability....I want to be able to vacuum it occasionally and that be enough. Comfort....don't want cushy nor like a bathtub. I don't want it to be like a new car/truck, but not like a bare floor either. I don't know if the vinyl would be too raw for the floor. I know it's durable enough and very cleanable, but what about feel? It will come with padding, which will likely make a big difference.
