I don't why they don't move it to the WDM and preserve it. Its location is a rough area in the city and may wind up becoming ashes. That would be a shame.
It is heavily guarded..
It looks quite nice after the remodel, it could be tough to move and may not end up in one piece.
It would look very nice at the WDM though, most of the WDM displays are centred around horses and steam equipment. They need to ''modernize'' up abit to make it more interesting for us car/truck guys, they only have the odd model T outside during Pionera Days.
I have moved a few buildings and with what they can do today is amazing. Someone moved an old brick school house up by Waldheim. They dig out the foundation under the brick or cement wals and fit in heavy beams for the walls weight. Once they got the beams under they then jack up the beams as one unit. Once they have wheels and beams for travel they ad further braces to the walls inside and under the insid walls. Then they cable strap the outsides to keep snug to eliminate any shifting. It is more work, but that is how they move preservation buildings. It is costlier, but people sure enjoy it when it is moved to where all can enjoy or make use of it.
Maybe we can start up a old truck theme park and move these old gas stations and Drivein burger shops and old Drive screen and booths. Get all the car buffs coming around for club show and shines and picnics. Anyone want to donate some land?
The police can have alot more back up in a hurry.
We might need Man, Alberta and BC plus all of Ont. just to keep it interesting....
Ever heard of the Hell`s Angels Ford Truck Club division?
