Question Thermometer?????

I'm wondering how everyone finds the accuracy of the overhead thermometer??
I drove by a bank sign today that said 41 and mine said 46. Do you think on average they are ok?

My outside air temperature is in the heater controls display, I have EATC, but IMHO it is more accurate than a bank sign would be. Like the bank sign, when the truck is first started after sitting overnight, it will be stabilized to ambient conditions. While driving, mine will change considerably with airflow over the sensor and will give a much truer reading.

I don't think that's what he meant. If I get in my truck after sitting in the sun, sometimes it'll read 109*F. Of course as start driving along, the sensor reads the temperature other than the hot air from the baking steel.

Thats good to hear. I guess I feel the same way. After driving a little and the warm air gets blown off the sensor it tends to agree with the radio weather. I just thought I would post a lighter subject for a change.

Mine in my 2003 SCrew is about 2 degrees high usually. I have the over head console.

My 2007 Montego has the temp on the HVAC. That one is spot on.
