Question Blower Problem

When I have my blower on inside the truck and I select "Vent", the air switches between the vent and defroster for maybe 10 seconds each....it just goes back and forth....I was thinking it maye a vacuum issue. I haven't had time to check it yet. Any ideas?

it sounds like you are on the rite path. there should be a vacuum tree on the passenger center side of the firewall. look for a small line going over towards the heater box broken off, or cracked.

The white tube on my '90 was deteriorated on the bottom. Looked good at first glance, but upon closer inspection about 3 in. was gone only on the bottom of the tube at heater box housing.

I found one of those little plastic vacuum lines broken off...how do I repair it? The line is very small

I bought fittings and sleeves in a kit from Advance......over in the section where they sell the vacuum/pcv stuff. They had all the sizes.

Heat shrink tubing can be used as long as the 2 ends are pretty close to each other inside the tubing.
