9" case info

i was looking to buy a detroit locker or complete 3rd member, and i keep seeing that some are for H cases and some for M cases. did i miss somthing or should a 9" spec part fit any 9" member?

I think........but don't quote me on this............there are two different carrier bearing bores. I have mainly worked with aftermarket cases, so my knowledge of stock cases is not what it should be.
