Truck Boxes

i have a 1995 ford f150 single cab with an 8 foot box, and i was wondering if i would be able to just swap it with the 6 foot box without having to cut the frame because of where the wheel wells are. Does anyone have any experience with doing this kind of thing?

The short bed( about 7ft) is shorter between the wheels and cab unfortunately, not at the back.

You could use that space that would be left in the middle for a tool box.

the 8 ft is actually longer after the wheel wells too.
