1997 Explorer Instrument Bulbs

I have a bulb out in my instrument panel(speedometer) and in my climate control panel. I suppose if I'm going to take the dash apart, I might as well replace all the lights. How many are there and what is the bulb number/type? Thanks...Dan

Haynes or Chilton's books usually have pictures or diagrams showing the bulb location and quantity.

Any place you buy the bulbs (such as parts stores or even WalMart) will have look-up books or computers to find the bulb number/type.

On my 2000 there were 10 bulbs. 8 for the instrument cluster and 2 for some idoit lights. I remember buying 10 bulbs and used all of them.

I looked in the owners manual and it doesn't list the instrument bulbs nor does the Haynes manual. They list almost every bulb except the instrument bulbs. I'm just trying to get the bulbs ahead of time to avoid a trip to the parts store while the dash is apart.
