I am looking for a replacement connector for my hood courtesy light and for my windshield washer pump. The local Ford dealer wants 25 bucks for each of these and is having trouble located the one for the hood light. A cost of about 50 bucks to fix 2 small wiring connectors. Thats a freakin rip off! Does anyone know of another option besides a salvage yard?
Whats a matter with the wreckers Ive built hole truck from there. If you find on in good shape why worrie about new. My parts truck has both and they look new. So I bet you can fin one for $5.00
Generally, nothing is wrong with the salvage yard. I'm actually glad we have them. They can be a big help. Its just that on a vehicle thats over 10 years old it seems that eveything I find like this is in similar condition to what I already have. This is really only pretaining to stuff like this and certain outside plastic stuff, and interior parts if the previous owner didn't take care of it. I just don't want to go all the way out the salvage yard to find they don't have what I need or don't have a good one. If all else fails, I may go to the salvage yard. Someone has to know of another way to get these stupid things. I don't think NPD or LMC has them. It would be nice if they did. Any other ideas?
yes, a lot of places its cheeper to buy a whole kit then one part. Its really stupid.
I have considered putting custom lighting under the hood of my truck.
Cold cathode, or something else, probably less breakable, but similar with low power consumption.
getting the mercury switch to work will be fun.
