what are the shocks that you would recomend for my 98 expy with rear air suspention. I was looking into the Ranchos but they said that it would not be a reliable shocks for the truck ( RS500) model.
And what are the biggest tires that I can put on my truck with out having to lift it?
The most common shocks for your LLS are Bilsteins and Monroes. Different people will give you different answers as to which one to buy. Since I bought Monroes, I can't give you a "which is the best" comparison.

I've run both. I installed Bilsteins on a friends truck, but tried to cheap out on mine. Saw the light soon after and replaced the monroes with bilsteins.......
Buzzard, do you have LLS? If so, what is the part number for the rear shock and how do you like the ride? I've got another friend that wants to get her stuff done....

No LLS here and it's been six years since I put the shocks on so I don't have a part # handy. BTW, the ride is fantastic, firm but not harsh.
