Radio head unit
Hey guys I have a 98 expy XLT with a 6 cd chnger in the console, I would like to put a newer head unit for my xm radio something with better quality is there any way that I can the swap of redios without loosing the cd changer and the remote, earphone jacks on the back seat of my truck.
Really wanna put a better radio but dont wanna loose the features that came with the truck

Check with Crutchfield, I found I could get a head/satt (I have Sirius) unit w/cd for the cost of a standard interface head unit for the 6 pack. Free'd up some room in my center council to, but if you want to keep the 6 pack they have head units for that. Plus if you get the unit from them, they get you the super easy interface with it.

THat is a good ideal I dont necesarelly want the 6 pack on the console I can always use more space, but the controler in the back is a nice thing to have with the head phones you know. thanx for the advice

here's the thing
do you have premium sound in your Ex? If so, you need an adapter to use an aftermarket head unit, or you need to rewire all the speakers. I'm pretty sure the 98's with premium sound use the seperate amp to drive the speakers, meaning that the head unit is basically a pre-amp.
