Was wondering what you guys recommend for shocks on a '01 F-150 supercab Off Road package truck. I drive a lot of very rough roads (Welcome to Michigan)dirt and blacktop. This may be a stupd questions but if I went with a stiffer shock, would that effect the longevity of my ball joints or possibly shorten the life of them?
I think I'm going to go with the regular RS5000 Rancho's when I do mine. I don't think a stiffer shot will have much effect on the ball joints. They are going to feel the potholes before the rest of the truck anyway.
Also, a heavier shock can actually help things last longer in some circumstances. My parents Sequoia and E150 were hitting the bump stops regularly before I put bilsteins on them, even during normal daily driving. I can only assume that it will help in the long run.

i go light offroading maybe once a year and from what i understand, the Bilsteins are a "firmer" (Harsher) ride....I've heard GREAT things about the RSX's.
