Carfax report

Just wondering what was in a Carfax report. I'm thinking of buying it as it says there are "10 records" with my vehicle, and of course that makes me curious to find out what's on the said records.

Is it worth the money to but one though? I'm just wondering what I'll get for the price.

10 records can show up on a new car with a transfer between dealers etc. The records they show are only the reported ones and are not complete at all.

IMO you're better off with a AAA membership search.

They have a comprehensive system that apparently deals with vehicle Registration/insurance claims, etc

Carfax on mine only told where the car was sold and when it was sold, and miles at time of sale.

ditto... i think mine showed a couple of records, most being where it was sold, SERVICED, etc.

lol... thought it was going to be like "whoa" til i found out it had records of servicing... DOH!
