Electrical problems?
Hey all, I am fairly new here and was wondering if anyone has experienced a problem similar to mine. My speedo and rpm guage (03 250 SD 5.4 @59,000mi)drop while driving and the ABS light comes on. I do not loose power in the engine and the speedo goes back to normal, ABS light goes off. It started doing this after a trip to the dealer for an oil change. It happens once to twice every day or two. Any ideas would help before I take her in. Thanks

If it's just Speedo and ABS I would immedately suspect the VSS (vehicle speed sensor.) It's a little sensor on top of the diff, and I understand it's fairly cheap. The Tach kinda throws me. It could be a glitch in that the cluster gets flustered by the loss the of the VSS signal. Because of the ABS light, I would still start with the VSS.
