Those sneeky Ford engineers
I can't count how many times I have swapped trans and xfer cases. As well as replaced trans mount. But I Have been buying truck in area that need some love fixing and reselling .
I put a trans in a 95 F150 and was bolting back together . The croossmember was bent so I yanked one off a parts truck (93) . All bolted up ready to lower trans and bolt up mount. It no fit
being 11 pm you can imagine my suprise 
or descust 
. I never knew there was difference of bolt paterns in years . Both trucks had E40d w/elec xfer. When ever I bought one (mount ,I would just get year I needed ) never thinking there was difference. Its the small things that can hold you up on repairs . So I ordered a new one and had to wait a day longer. "Those seeky 
Ford Engineers " Almost as bad as the many different u-jiont set ups.
