K&N FIPK's

I was wondering if anyone had any advice / comment on K & N FIPK's. I've heard nothing but good things. Also, if anyone knows a good place to find them, let me know. I can order them from my local shop but I just didn't know if there were other places. Thanks

Ken

I Love mine. it sounds great and works great. It works even better when you have at least a Cat-Back system for exhaust if not more.

They are really really loud. The replacement filter does the same job without the noise. I bought mine from 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers for about $180. I should have bought the replacement filter first, I take the FIPK out every time I go on a long trip.

Yep, the FIPK is way overpriced and only makes you think it helps 'cause it's louder. People think because it sounds like the motor is sucking more air it's somehow increased hp.

I'd love to see real dyno results of just the FIPK on a speed density Bronco (not K&N propaganda). If you got 1-2 hp increase I'd be surprised, and that's not enough for the butt dyno to notice.

I agree save your money and by thier replacement filter instead. The FIPK sounds good but I don't think it makes any more power. The FIPK would probably work better in a modified engine. But for a stock engine using a speed density electronics I don't see how it can benefit much.
