Upper an lower control arm replacement
Hi all, Thank you for a great site ! I have found a lot of useful info. on here, this is my first post. First off I want to tell you that i am a part's changer an not a mechanic. My question is, I have a 2000 f150 that i have wrecked, it took a hard hit from underneath, damaging the stabalizer bar steering box gear an not sure about the frame, i had a guy look at it that knows alot about mechaniching, an said he did not think it was, but any way the driver side tire is pushed out at the bottom like this \ I am thinking the lower control arm is bent, I have the wheel an knuckle off, I am going to try an replace the upper an lower control arm's, balljoint's etc. How is the best way to do this ? I read on here that you could jack up the lower control arm to get the spring out, is this the best way or should i use the spring compressor ? Also when i replace them should i get the adjustment kit, or can the alignment shop do that when they align it ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. sorry for the long post.
