weak startup

I have a 97 f-250 5.4 4x4, when i start it cold, hot warm whenever, it seems weak like i have to keep they key turned for an extra second. once it turns over its like a low rpm start then it climbs to normal idle instantly. never been a problem just a concern because a buddy of mine has a ram and he hits his key and its there is that the difference im going to have to live with or what?

Sounds like a IAC valve problem. You can try cleaning it but, from what I've read in this forum, this doesn't last very long. So, it is time to replace the IAC valve. Good luck!
