1983 B600 370 2v Starting Issues
Hello , Im in need of a little help here.
I have a 83 Ford B600 with the 370 gas engine. When the bus is cold it will fire right up in a second. It runs and drives great! The problem is I can only start it once a day. The engine will not start unless the engine is cold, and I meen like sitting all night cold. It cranks and smells like it gets flooded out with in a few seconds .
I have done a tune up : plugs , wires , cap , rotor , filters , even the coil.
One thing ive noticed on the carb. there is a good size motor looking thing on the side of it with 2 wires going into it. One of those wires is broken off. I believe its a 2 bl holley. What is that thing? and could that be the problem?
Thank you very much
Update, When engine is even a little warm, there is no spark. When I first turn the key to START there is a quick second of spark than thats it. When I let off the key it fires once or twice. I just put a new ignition module on, no change
Could it be the ignition switch? But then why only when the engine is warm? This is driving me nuts LOL
