Using Auto-RX

The guy I bought it from said his wife had used it to drive 80 miles round trip a day, highway @ 55-60 mph. He had been running Pennzoil straight 30 weight.
Well, you've poured in just about every concoction on the market, trying to fix an intermittent valve tic, that turned out to be a mechanical problem with a valve cover oil baffle/splash shield & that was a good find, but looks like all the pour in's haven't touched the varnish so far.
Don't believe I'd remove the slpash shield, it's there for a reason!!!
Maybe consider having it spot welded back, by a good welding shop.
Will be interesting to see what effect, if any, the Auto Rx has on the varnish deposits & the compression numbers .
Seems to me, the oil & it's add pack, the engine's had over the years, hasn't been up to the task this engine requires.
All that varnish won't help the top end run cooler either.
I'm so happy that tick is gone, kinda like a kid at Christmas! LOL.
with the splash shield, you can't tell or even see where it's loose, you can hear it on the other side...weird.
i actually did think about taking it out becuase there's only about one quarter inch between that and the actual valve cover....which isn't your typical cheap stamped Al ....would cost $$$
