As I thought...

Hey gang, I had posted a topic about my "no spark blues", and I thank you all for replying. As I had suspected, and some of you agreed, it was the stator in the distributor. I got the timing off, but got it all back together ok. That new distributor was NOT wanting to go in where it should, and it was a PAIN, but I got it!! Thanks again to you all, and happy rollin'!!!

Glad to hear you got it fixed! I know how much of a PITA distributors can be, but once you get the sucker in and seated properly so the oil pump will work.... then timing is a matter of getting it started without the SPOUT connector connected and adjusting the base timing. I remember when it was a little more simpler somewhat... at least on the old, not-so-computerized 2.6L engines...

Re: Those were the good ol' days...

Suddenly, I'm reminded of the TV sitcom "All In The Family"....

Hopefully, your problems will be few and far between. You know where to come and ask, if another comes along, though!
