mpg going down?

mpg going down?
I've got an 03 F-350 7.3 powerstroke thats got 52,000 miles on it and only getting 12 mpg city, when I first got it with 30,000 miles it was getting 16-17 mpg in town, anyone else had this trouble or any idea what it could be? The fuel filter gets changed every other oil change. Also when holding at 1250 RPM's it has a vibration, and the RPM's will drop and come right back up. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds to me your milage started to drop over the winter months right? I bet its cause of the winter blend diesel, but u could check your airfilter and see if its dirty. But for city driving thats not below the norm.

When your RPMs drop and come back, is it sort of like a quick cut-out on a gasser? If it is, you may be in the early stages of a CPS failure - can cause pretty crappy mileage, rough-running, etc. also. Just my .02
