Hey guys, I have a quick question. I know that in the OBS F-250s they have the Independent Axle up front. I myself do not like the twin I beam. Im a straight axle guy. So heres my question. Will a 99-04 Superduty axle bolt right under it? Will i need a different u joint or a different mounting spot for the leaf spring? I know that the bolt pattern is metric on the newer axles so i would just put the new wheels on it. And also match up the gears. Has anyone done this, and was it a huge job? Thanks guys

I don't know what an obs is, but all but the light duty f250s should have solid axles. If you do have a light duty (f150 body) f250, you will mostlikely have a lot of work to do.
The swap should be mostly straight forward on a leaf spring mount. The biggest complications I can forsee is the perch locations, axle width and Yoke. I would opt to change the driveshaft before putting a smaller yoke on the axle.

Yea i was looking at buying a 1995 area HD 250 then putting the Solid axles. My buddy did that to his truck and he said he had to get his driveshafts done up because the size of the yokes were different. I found a F 350 OBS so they have straight axles. Thanks anyways
